The Sopranos

If you have heard recently too much about how the last season of Game of Thrones was a disappointment to its fans and you wonder how such a negative wave started against one of the most attractive and lovable series of all time, I recommend you to study how people feel and think about the older production of HBO, The Sopranos.

Warning: slightly spoiling! :D

The series starts great, keep on great and ... ends great!
there is a strong consistency in characters' development and there are certain analysis on every single person's character during the show.

You don't miss a change in them. the series extracts all changes and explains them to us, with direct messages, indirect scenes and events and metaphors.

for example, they have patiently spent 2 seasons to show how T comes to the point with his mother, from total respect, to intense hate. it shows how he discovers his deep feelings and thoughts. it's not all of a sudden, it's a process which we witness.

in one scene, Meadow says to his father "we are all hypocrites, sometimes" and this is not just a word. it's a spirit you can smell in all characters during the show. even for the most white personalities like Dr. Melfi and her husband, it comes to points which you can see the hypocrisy.
