¡Hola Comunidad! Esta pieza del repertorio litúrgico se interpreta justo antes del Gloria, generalmente como una oración cantada. Kyrie es el caso vocativo del sustantivo griego κύριος (kyrios: «señor») y significa «¡Oh Señor!», mientras que Eléison, en griego ἐλέησον, es imperativo aoristo del verbo ἐλεέω «compadecerse», por tanto "Kyrie eléison" se traduce como "Señor, ten piedad". Esta oración se constituye de tres frases "Kyrie eléison" (Señor, ten piedad), "Christe eléison" (Cristo, ten piedad) y una reiteración de la primera frase para finalizar.
