Sola Weekly #10 | Developers' portal launch

This is the 10th issue of our weekly report. And we are celebrating it with passing through our first milestone — Public API release! Find the developers’ portal at https://developers.sola.ai

Looking back, there were a lot of checkpoints we went through since the first issue. Let’s see what has been done.

Along with our first Weekly report, we released the In-app Wallet. That was the first and major step since Sola’s launch and the driver of Sola’s Economics which is in the development at the moment.

Another step is Sola’s global Search implementation. That was a tricky task as we wanted to keep Sola random and exciting and to give you an opportunity to explore deeper. It seems like we nailed it and got a huge new space for surprising discoveries.

We also can’t wait for you to try the Topics. A huge boost for the expertise and the quality content, if that is what brought you here. Still waiting for the Apple’s approval.

There are a lot of smaller improvements that were made through all this time in both design and development. The upcoming Email digest and the new Web interface will allow you to satisfy your curious and creative self.

A lot of upgrades were made in moderation and reporting system as well. All the actions done are very important for keeping the positive experience and non-toxic environment.

And, of course, more than 250 improvements were made and bugs fixed. We even have a fun chart for you.

Product and marketing

The week started effectively, with participation in D10 Conference on Decentralization. We were happy and surprised to meet a lot of people, who were already acknowledged with Sola and those, who just knew about it, to discuss the concept and ideas, and get a lot of feedback on the changes, done and upcoming.

Sola’s new Economics got its final form. Your questions after the 9th Weekly report were mostly concentrated around the AP to Votes transformation.

The AP, as a counter, which is limiting your actions will be gone. You will be able to give as many Votes to the card (1–100) or comment (1–10) as you want. And the value of the Vote will be counted as the part of Reward Pool and the number of votes you gave away.

And yes, the AP-bonus will be removed from the Daily Reward as well.

The work on the new Web interface continues. It adopts the most beautiful and convenient solutions, to perfect the whole experience, whether you read or create. Just take a look.

Community

Sola’s Japanese users are always surprising us with the community they’ve built on Sola and around Sola. They have regular meetups (thanks for sharing this with us, 🌪Windy 🌬), they write us amazing letters, and we even had a sweetest guest from Japan in our office last year. So thank you, guys! You’re a great inspiration for us.
