The "Seeing AI" application from Microsoft could help blind and low vision people

This iOS software can speak about what the camera of the telephone is seeing, read the menu in the restaurant and also could indicate the smiling people.

Unfortunately I don't have any device with iOS. I only have an Android phone.
But if you have (an) iOS device(s) and you are visually impaired then this could be your application.

The Seeing AI software can help the every day life of the blind people because it can help mapping their environment. The application is developed by the researchers of Microsoft and the program identifies the objects via the camera by using artificial intelligence and then notifies the blind people with sound to let they know what or who can they find in their environment. Because of this Microsoft also calling this program as "talking camera for the blind".

The free program is also good for low vision people to identify what can they see on a paper. With the help of the solution you can even read the whole menu in a restaurant, furthermore the writing more as well. By an additional function the software can also help blind people to find the barcode on a product and with this they can read more accurate informations from it.

The Seeing AI also identifies when a friend is staying near them and the program also can sense the feelings of this person and forward this information to the blind user. So this latter person get notified if someone smiling at him/her and approximately in what way/direction do they need to move towards him/her. The application could describe the environment and the developers could improve the program by adding a banknote identifier function. Currently the software is only available in the offerings in the Apple's American and Canadian store.
