Understanding
Forest Village Community
The community is a group of people who inhabit a certain place, which is
bound in a norm, value and custom agreed by the group
concerned. Based on the typology, forest village community is a community
inhabiting areas that are in or around the forest and livelihoods / occupations
the community depends on the interaction of the forest.
Forest Village Society
Institution is a place where a group of people take the initiative to meet the needs
together, and which serves to regulate these shared needs with value and
shared rules. Lembaga masyarakat Desa Hutan (LMDH) is an established institution
by villagers within or around the forest to organize and fulfill
needs through interaction of forests in social, economic, and political contexts
culture.
Vision and mission
Vision is an ideal that an institution wants to achieve, and all efforts are made to
realizing the vision. Vision becomes a commitment and a form of institutional awareness. Form
the translation of the vision is Mission is something the institution wants to achieve, but it is still general,
operational, applicable and not yet supported data. The preparation of missions is done to interpret
applicable to the vision.

Participatory
Participatory is a method of approach to a community that tries
narrowing the distance between the peasant community, through the actions of the community
and facilitators. Participatory is manifested in the form of involvement in all processes as
form of joint action. The decisions taken are the result of a joint process. Alignment
roles and responsibilities become an important part of this approach.
Natural resources
Natural resources are everything that comes from nature that can be used for
meet human needs. Natural resources can be various forms, among others, form
forests, water, livestock and others.
The natural resources of the village are everything that comes from the natural conditions in the village
owned and can be utilized by the village concerned. Sometimes even resources
nature in the village, can also influence the behavior of the community.
The Parties Involved
Parties involved in the process of developing these forest village institutions are:
all members and administrators of LMDH, local government (village to district), parties
related in accordance with the needs (agency / related agencies), the parties who have concern
to institutional development (investors, colleges, NGOs), and facilitators who can
selected from the community itself or outsiders.
Institutional Management Training (Outbound Management Training)
Outbound Management Training (OMT) or institutional management training is one form
training to understand participants' understanding of organizational management. OMT done
in a variety of games that contain values ​​or aspects of institutional management. OMT

the individual ability or the average ability of the group that follows.
