The Wealth Paradox: Richest 1% have more money than poorest half of world’s population
Poorest half of world’s population means that the middle-class is steadily vanishing
As long as money exists, collusion of interests will continue to exist. All good for wealth concentration.
Money of the rich is being funneled via their "foundations" and goes back to them in a full loop. This too is impossible to fix as long as money exists. All good to buy people opinions and keep power in place.
Money spent on social programs keep corporation profits afloat, and should they be ended, corporations would collapse overnight. All good for manipulating politicians drafting laws in favor of the rich/corporations.
But even much worse, at the bottom of the structure, there is widespread economic slavery, people working for a few bucks a day, most corporations relocated where labor is extremely cheap.
This conjecture also destroys the middle class as poverty slowly move into the upper levels of the system. All good to divert the attention: as long as people struggle to make ends meet, they are manipulable.
Of course now we have to trust the rich/corporations/political classes that UBI - universal basic income - is the ultimate fix that will patch social inequality. Really?
As for crypto-currencies, we should hold our breath. With 78% of Americans going from paycheck to paycheck, only the upper class and the rich own most of them already.
A money-free society is the only way out!

I agree with most of what you say, but money isn't the issue.

Governments and banking usury are the problem.
thank you fro dropping buy... the mind using money is a very important clue, but money will always coerce the mind when seeking profits. The chase of money makes people do things detrimental to others.
Money would only be positive IF... IF ... people would stop chasing money and hoarding it. Which means renouncing to the wealth effect... so if this is grasped, we'd have a zero sum game economics with no losers/winners.... but then who would need money? Getting rid of it would be a lot simpler.
Doing what one is passionate for is a philosophical axiom and monetary competition twists the game, preventing people from following their dreams.
Wealth cannot be created nor destroyed, it merely changes hands... the top 1% understood this a long time ago.
Exactly. It's the system of exchange that is the problem, not the wealth. (signified my money in this instance)
I don't see making profit as a negative paradigm.
Building a life is a positive thing. The vast majority of people are looking for this, not vast wealth accumulation, to the detriment of others.
It can spur on people to invent, improve, and push boundaries. .( the electricity we are using, and the computers we are using now, for example)
Human nature is what it is. Self improvement, materially, is one of those aspects.
To try and fight it, and not go with- is just eventual communism under any name you want to label it with.
The free market ( real free market - not remotely what we have now), is the fairest, most stable social system, that actually stops totalitarianism/corporate power, ever even germinating...
Ambition is good, not bad.
The twisting of the banking system/governments ( which I attribute - totally - to the 4% of psychopaths in society) is the problem.
By 'getting rid' of the 4% , we would have a very pleasant world indeed, with money sitting happily within it, as a means of exchange - and yes - rewarding those more industrious than others.
there lies the paradox. It is profit seeking that causes poverty because wealth cannot be destroyed nor created. It just change hands. A for profit system creates slavery spontaneously because of the market forces. Collusion is impossible to prevent when the economic model is based on profits.
I know it is mind boggling to many but that is the way Nature works. Nature cannot be monetized in any fashion.
I have several blogs about it and a whole website. Hence we do not especially need money. Materialism is an illusion anyway. when we die, we do not take anything with us.
Market forces in a free market are based on scarcity - as in any natural ecosystem.

Looking from a Nature perspective, Darwinism wins out - and makes for a very brutal world. Survival of the fittest. Nature is not pretty.
In a complex societal system we do need something as a token of exchange/ value ( ie money).
In the modern context, I agree. That doesn't change the human nature to acquire more however.
I'm just not as cynical in my perspective, I guess.
