All the Cool Stuff Other Races Have Given Us

Okay what with all the posts about neonazis and white supremacists floating around it never ceases to amaze me how stupid the whole concept of racism and racial purity really is. There is nothing wrong with being proud of your culture or your heritage but when you start bashing someone else's heritage or wanting to kill someone because they have a different genetic phenotype or a different culture (and this is true regardless of what one's race is) that is just plain stupid. It's stupid for obvious reasons like it's ridiculous to hate someone because of superficial differences like pigmentation, hair contours, or eye shape. But it's even MORE stupid when taken in historical context when we consider how much stuff we've invented together, all of us, as a species working together. Attending a neonazi rally while wearing clothes made in China, waving a tiki torch made in Mexico, with a cellphone made in Japan, all of which probably gets tech support from India and discussing your white supremecist ideals over the INTERNET which is globally developed and supported by Goddess knows how many races and cultures is the height of irony.

• settlers wouldn't even be alive without said First Nations

Like I could go on and on like this all day. But point is: Think about how radically our culture would change without other cultures influencing and interacting with them. Odds are the next "White powa" guy you see is going to look like a walking hypocritical hyperbole. Look we need all kinds, that includes white people, but that also includes black, yellow, red and whatever other colours you want to add to the rainbows as well.
