Compassion for people in need gives direction to my life

Amidst so many glitches and evils in our society, there is always a ray of hope and optimism which has driven the human race so far. When I think about any term like social service the immediate thought that internment and captures my mind is that whatever change you are up to, whatever change you wish to comprehend in the society, you should start it from yourself. This will have a positive impact on how you perceive things and moreover the way you look at the world. I personally believe that I can find a better version of myself if I can devote my time, energy and efforts in the service of others who genuinely need them. Helping others gives me a direction in my life. Having something more than what others have does not really means that you are blessed or lucky but it brings a sincere responsibility of serving and assisting those in need.

If there are people endorse social stigma in our society then there exist others as well who are working hard to eradicate them.

This stigma is a shame and disgrace not only to our society but the whole mankind. I feel that drawing this line of difference between our communities is something which should be put to a halt. This is one of the major fields in which I always wanted to contribute and bring a change by uplifting the deprived community.

The huge difference between the rich and the poor is weakening the backbone of our country. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon, but what matters the most is that “Are we going to finish strong?” This is the only bitter reality of the world. If you weren’t able to create your identity through your deeds during your lifespan, then your life would have been meaningless and moreover directionless.

Making these people self-sufficient and assisting them when they need makes me complete and satisfied like never before. This interest of mine has facilitated me to pursue “Rural internship for the Enhancement of Quality Education in Rural Areas” and has kept me glued with NGO’s like Atma Vani, Manav Sadhna and even the Rotaract club of Gandhinagar.

I usually find my motivation while thinking of the lines once said by Winston Churchill, that:

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”
