Steemit as a social network

When you think social network you think Facebook or Twitter or Kim Kardashian or Donald Trump, but really what is a social network?

A social network is a community of people that come together to build something greater online!

Now each of us bring something to the table whether it's experience, talent, creativity, or even just a new perspective.. we are all trying to bring our own individuality to a new global community.

There are no limits, and only the community decides what is acceptable or what is not.

Steemit has become a place for people to present themselves as digital natives into a digital world, but where does Steemit fit in this digital world?

Where basically everything that is possible in the digital world is possible on the STEEM blockchain!

But when you find yourself inside this community you really have to consider yourself as being important, because this is a big deal, and if you have watched movies like "The Social Network" then consider that we are like the first Harvard students that invited basically every person who has came to Facebook.. being the "Adam and Eve" of the Facebook community.

What does that mean for us..

It basically means that we are creating a new community, and the more people that join.. the more the community will grow, and change!

So all in all we just need to remember to be ourselves, and don't be afraid to post the things we want to post about instead of just what we this the "whales" will upvote, and that way when new people come to the community they see a melting pot of all kinds of people with all kinds of ideas and creativity!
