Linkedin Now With Videos
Linkedin Catches up with Facebook and Twitter.
After a long wait the Linkedin Business Network now offers the ability to include video posts directly onto their social platform. Facebook was the first to introduce this, (Other than of course video-orientated platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo etc.) and was then followed by Twitter.
The obvious advantage is to be able to create much more interactive and engaging posts for your connections. And as with Facebook and Twitter, it has proven to be a much more responsive way of getting more reach and your posts being noticed.
The lesser known advantage and I am sure we will see a lot more of this in the coming months is the ability to use your uploaded Linkedin videos as sponsored posts through Linkedin advertising, in fact Linkedin are currently giving away $50.00 worth of free video advertising for a limited time, so if you do have a business and want to promote it, get a video on there and get some free advertising whilst the offer lasts, then you can assess by the analytics if this should be a mainstream source of advertising to potential clients.
Either way, it is great to see that Linkedin is keeping up with the times and staying ahead of the game when it comes to business social media networking.

It's been a long time coming but the introduction of video on LinkedIn is a great idea. I'm already starting to see some good use of it, with many of the best posts telling human and engaging stories to capture people's attention.
Absolutely Philip, with the increase of people's data allowances, certainly the way forward, and especially useful for training tools too. (Both for clients and employees.)
Yes, training will be a great market for it, plus company news, announcements, introductions to staff and colleagues. Lots of potential uses!
