To grid or not to grid

When deciding to use a grid (or mosaic) layout on your @instagram profile, consider what your objectives are first. Is it super important that your profile looks a certain way or are you more into increasing follower engagement? If the latter is the case, keep in mind that separate chunks of one image are less likely to get your followers excited.

Another way to ‘grid it’ without jeopardising your engagement rates too much is splitting up a collage of several images. By creating individual posts that speak for themselves but still come together as a beautiful whole on your profile, you can rock an aesthetic 'gram without pissing anyone off in the meanwhile.
