I like your post but the reason the U.S. tanked was because of 9/11 7.6 trillion dollars disappeared in a few seconds, well a couple of minutes and whenever that happens expect the worse.
The government tried to save a lot of things with bailouts but...it has taken a while. Obamacare came along and we expected it to be good but, oh was it bad for the economy and did not help the situation. Then, global warming became the end all to be all and that did not help either.
On 9/11 the first domino was kicked and they all went down baby and that is what happened. It's been fun though, surviving it.
The government wasted a lot of money bailing out the wrong people that only bankrupted again and made huge profits doing it...that is no excuse for Americans allowing their kids to starve. And most probably this statistic was taken before 9/11.
