15 Simple Keys To Accrue Maximum Respect in any Group and Environment

It is a proven fact from sociological studies that people are never ranked the same in any group. While this is true, it is also true that such ranking is not abstractly done, but are based on certain Characteristics that the group finds deserving of respect. Some people are more respected than others, the respected ones among us gets the best part of everything... audience, supporters and aids. While the ones with less respect are left to the scratch of few friends, noisy audience and little or no aid. The effect of this is that, the less respected becomes more and more disrespected.

Fortunately, for those that are tired of scratch and being mentioned as the last in any group, there are simple practical keys which i will offer here, which if you practice... you could share your testimonies.

In every group, there is a period of intensive ranking and analysis, what i called the 'Grading Period'. To assume maximum respect, you must know and use this period. The grading period in any group begins when the members are meeting themselves for the first time, or as a new member you just joined the society. The members at first may appear Hilariously silent, even the ones you know are noise glamours. The silent most times is not intentional, but as the human instinct is, observation in any new environment is a vital characteristics. soon enough, some knock out of it and begin to chatter with the ones they feel are their likes, while others continue in silence or few words.

Unconsciously, the chattering folks are decoding things about themselves and ranking themselves, but their decoding can barely reach the ones who talk few (silent folks). Unconsciously also, the silent folks are reading every other persons and ranking them too. The silence folks could be mistaken for introverts, not likely. There are the masters of the game. After this period, life begins, now we know who you are or a little of you. And we will keep knowing so far as this group persists and shall rank you accordingly.

Now these are the simple keys you could use to be at the top of ranking, whether or not you have missed the grading period or you are in the grading period.

1. Talk less: Chartering is tempting, but it is what will give you away. And please note, not talking at all will be perceived as weakness and shyness. so, what i mean is make solid and brief comments only and fold back to your safe zone.

2. Keep the Rules: You don't have to be too strict with yourself, but especially in the grading period, followup and keep the group's rules.

3. Avoid Arguments: For a start, avoid arguments totally, and later when you have gain the respect, argue only on important cases and conceit immediately if you are not firmly rooted. Abandon argument if no conclusion can be made.

4. Respect In-charge: whether formally, or informally made. Respect the one that is in charge. I would advice you work with the one in charge.

5. Be In-charge: It could be that the group has no leader yet, take charge informally. Speak respectfully to the members to abide to the rules and keep them.

6. Take the Responsibility: If you are given responsibility, take it and prove your self more than worthy of it. Don't reject it, for feeling that it is small.

7. Choose Your Mates: From your ranking, you know the people that have earned your maximum respect, choose those ones as your mate, and these ones shall be the only ones you request of their opinion in your private maters.

8. Be self-sufficient or Appear so: Well, i doubt anyone could be totally self-sufficient, so i would advise you appear like you are. If you must borrow, do it from the ones with high respect and not totally openly, other wise you loss some stars.

9. Don't be known for complaining: Complaining gives you away as a week person, take the blow, if you must talk about it, then do it with the aim of finding a solution.

10. Draw your Lines: Make your lines respectfully known to some who are always attempting to cross. I mean, say it with a nice smile and good reasons, so you wont be mistaken for an un-polite person.

11. Correct and Accept Corrections: Respectfully call a mate to order, if you don't, it shall be seen as a sign of weakness. Also, accept a correction with a smile, even if you may not take it, just smile like you do.

12. Focus More on the goal: Why are you in the group? If it is a sport group, then get to work. If it is a reading group then get to work. Every time you are in the group, do what you are there for.

13. Judge Wisely: You will always be asked to judge a matter, be careful they are listening to rank you accordingly. Do it rationally.

14. Defend a Mate: Secretly or publicly, if brought to your desk, defend the one whom everyone else ridicules. Bring out the star points about the mate to calm the storm. You will get the same favor.

15. Refrain from Ridiculing Others: What goes around comes around they say. Be careful of what you chose to laugh at. Keep a straight face even if its funny. They are ridiculing the low folks, don't join in, if you must laugh. Do it in your little corner alone or with a mate with high esteem.
