In order to react "forcefully" to North Korea's ballistic missile launch on Tuesday morning, the White House declared that the US is consulting with Japan and South Korea.

What was the response of the global community to the Korean experience?

Jake Sullivan, the US National Security Adviser, "had separate conversations with his Japanese and South Korean counterparts to formulate an appropriate and robust international response," according to Adrian Watson, the spokesperson for Sullivan. "He reaffirmed the firm commitment of the United States to defend Japan and South Korea," she added.
