Most of us were starting to get tired of the 'Wenger out' saga, a saga that has been going on for around two seasons non-stop now.

But things look like that they are shaping up now, with reports coming from Germany claiming that the Gunners have agreed a deal with German manager Thomas Tuchel.

The 44 year old former Borussia Dortmund boss has been unemployed since leaving the Bundesliga giants at the end of last season, despite being linked with the hotseat of numerous different clubs.

He had been rumoured the be the favourite to replace veteran Jupp Heynckes at Bayern Munich at the end of the current season, however Tuchel has reportedly rejected the chance to manage the biggest club in his homeland, in favour of a move the the English Premier League.

He has also been strongly linked to take over at Paris Saint-Germain from Unai Emery and with fellow Premier League club and fierce London rivals Chelsea, as rumours surrounding Italian boss Antonio Conte continue.

But According to reports from highly popular German sports magazine Kicker, Tuchel has already signed a contract with The Gunners, and will take over from Wenger at the end of the current season, which will end the Frenchman’s incredible 22-year reign at the north London club.

If reports are to be believed, most of the Arsenal supporters will be excited by the news, as most of them have turned their back on the manager who has won 10 major trophies with the club (3 Premier League titles + 7 FA Cups), plus 7 Community shields.

Despite being young for a manager, Tuchel has been managing for over 10 years now, since he over FC Augsburg II as his first job, where he stayed for one season. He then joined Mainz 05 from 2009 until 2014, before he joined Borussia Dortmund for two seasons, winning the DFB-Pokal in his final season with the club.

Sort:

Sven Mislintat had a fall out with Tuchel, wouldn't mind him coming to the Emirates but it just doesn't make any sense at all. PSG I guess are the forerunners to get him on board.

Yeah i saw some reports about the fall out he had with the scout, but we'll have to see what happens. I think he's a great manager with lots of potential, could be the right fit for Arsenal.
