Denmark scored first in the 6th minute. Mr Eriksen scored as expected having had 11 goals in World Cup qualifying.
Video Review called a handball against the Danish Defence in the penalty area resulted in a successful penalty kick for Australia. This leveled the match score at 1-1.
The second half showed equal opportunity play for both sides. Extra time was added with 3 minutes. Neither team scored resulting in a 1-1 draw.
