Harry Hole comes to cinema with a movie that will make you look differently snowmen.
The Snowman, drawn from the novel by the norwegian bestseller author Jo Nesbø, will be released in theaters in October with the direction of Tomas Alfredson and distributed by Universal Pictures.

Thriller set in Oslo, landscape covered by early winter snow, a first-sighted quiet atmosphere scenery but in reality, stage of a series of fierce serial murders towards single mothers.
Chief policeman of a special anti-crime team, Harry Hole, will investigate and try to stop the serial killer who will start a psychological game with him and will reopen old cases to find new useful information. Hole will work with a brilliant coworker just moved, beginning with a mysterious disappearance woman.

The cast boasts well-known names such as Michael Fassbender (XMen saga), which will feature Hole protagonist, Rebecca Ferguson (Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation, 2015), Charlotte Gainsbourg (Indipendence Day - Regeneration, 2016), Val Kilmer (Heat, 1996) and oscar® JK Award Simmons (Whiplash, 2014).

Directed by swedish Tomas Alfredson, initially conceived for Martin Scorsese, who then abandoned the directorship and maintained the role of executive producer, The Snowman is also produced by Working Title Films with Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner (The All Theory, 2014 - Les Misérables, 2012), Piodor Gustafsson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, 2005) and Robin Slovo (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, 2011) and Another Park Film with Scorsese, Nesbø, Niclas Salomonsson, Alfredson, Liza Chasin and Amelia Granger.

Turned entirely to Norway, specifically in Oslo, Bergen and in the Rjukan area, the film's release in theaters is scheduled for October 12th.
