Education under new paradigms of moral values
At present, society faces a series of difficulties that harm, on a large scale, the development of man. Difficulties or problems that we can mention as:
.- The deterioration of health, the deterioration of the environment, bad international relations, consumerism, inequality, extreme poverty, racial prejudice, violence, corruption, loss of identity, among others.
All of them are present in different cultures, together with them there are also the accelerated changes in the scientific, technological, communicational and industrial fields; Forcing the individual to a reorientation in education, oriented in a new paradigm, based on moral values and changes in attitudes, that give meaning and harmony to the life of the human being.
Therefore one of the great challenges that education in the contemporary world must face is the creation of a new humanism on par with what the 21st century envisages, a challenge to which all the people of the international environment are exposed, because of the commitment to the recovery and / or strengthening of humanist thinking, as an essential element in the transformation of education. Fact that will allow to live under an environment of harmony, with dreams of peace and respect for human rights.
Under this perspective, the formation of moral values has a lot of relevance, demand for the own needs of social development in the world of globalization. Since there are many approaches that try to find an explanation for such a complex reality, each of them deals contextually with the issue of moral values according to the incidence on the results of the process where it is developed.
Now, the educational process should not be conceived solely and exclusively as the teaching of a set of theoretical knowledge, whose contents must be learned by the students, but fundamentally as the communication of values, according to certain objectives and previously established goals. , which constitutes the very basis of behavior as a way of life.
Explaining the meaning of moral values is difficult, because they are placed in an abstract, ideal order. They can not be seen or observed as such, because they are not concrete objects or events. Value implies a quality, a way of being or acting to what is aspired in the behavior of human beings. Values are elements of a social and cultural context so they are questioned, taught and assumed within a concrete reality and not as an absolute entity.
In summary, the contemporary world is emerging a perspective in the area of education. Increasingly, educators are concerned about the moral values of their students and how to teach them, since they have been losing noticeably, bringing with them serious problems in society.
Until next delivery ... greetings.
