Mika's Mandala Artwork
Meet Mika. She is six years old and homeschooled.
She introduces herself as a girl who likes playing, reading, studying, watching TV and watching nature.
She also likes coloring Mandala Art. We started out with an crayons and an adult coloring book her Grandfather (Lolo) gave her. She liked making patterns with the colors.
A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe. In common use, "mandala" has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents a microcosm of the universe.[Source]
For Mika, Mandala's represented balance, she knew if she put a color on one side, she would also put it on the other side of the pattern.
Eventually, she filled up that coloring book. So I looked for some Mandala Art printables from the internet for her to color. I bought her another coloring book about Travel but she didn't like it just as much as Mandalas.
Crayons were mainly her medium until we found these non toxic washable Colorpep pens from Maped. Sometimes she would go over the lines, the color patterns were more important to her. She greatly improved with the markers because of the fine tip on the pens compared to her usual 24 color crayons.
Coloring Mandala Art was a way for her to practice patience and widened her imagination for visuals.
Her Lolo is her biggest fan in her Art and he later bought her some watercolor pencils. She would later combine watercolor pencils and markers in making her Mandala color patterns.
These last pieces are some of her latest ones which are included in her homeschooling Art Portfolio. The seahorses is a Copy the Color piece with a twist.
The top one she didn't finish but the next one is one of my favorites.

It took us some time before we decided to open the account for them. I felt it's a good investment, with them projecting steem to go higher up in value in the future.
