State of the Sndbox Competition #9 - Space Entry

Hi Steemit community and @sndbox team,
Here I am once more, participating on the @sndbox Monthly Thumbnail Competition #9.

For me the experience of participating on the events of sndbox that incentives art and design, is like taking a trip out of this world! Especially if you got to get one of the winner places… (so far I have only achieved an honorific mention… and it felt so great!! So..I will keep trying)

Here are some images of the process:
First: I made the space ship, adding the colors of sndbox.

Them, started to play with the design of the planets.

Later, I made the astronaut

Them, I started to put everything together over the background. I added son reflecting circular shapes with gradient in order to get an effect of shinning space.

Finally, I added some details, as shining starts far away.
To make shining, I play with gradients and opacity of the shapes.
