RE: "Musician's Guide to Steemit" Open Source eBook Project: CHAPTER THREE -  Your First Week on Steem: Meeting People & Joining Communities

@nerdzerker You need to read this. Should be a pretty great resource to point phx musicians to.

I'd say sincere and genuine interaction with the other people here is the best thing you can do. It's getting even easier as we see new content hit the platform that isn't the usual stuff you see on here like crypto discussions.

Yea you and I feel the same way about that. I feel like this whole chapter can be boiled down to exactly that sentence: "sincere and genuine interaction with the other people here is the best thing you can do."

And the fact is that new, better, more diverse content creators are showing up every day. I love it for all kinds of reasons:

(1) We have expanded beyond the singer-songwriter scene of Open Mic, and now have a more diverse music culture with lots of beatmakers, rappers, and some full bands, math rock, vaporwave, etc, its sick.

(2) it's a diverse group of people - men and women, many ethnicities and locations around the globe, all ages, different religions and cultures and really a lot going on. It's great. We can probably do even better, but this is a wonderful start.

(3) Rewards are going up up up thanks to the increased attention
