THE SIGHTS OF SECOND LIFE

For this episode of ‘The Sights Of Second Life’, I thought I would share some snapshots from ‘holiday destinations’ I have been to as a resident.

Tropical beaches are a firm favourite. Here’s one of me trying my hand at surfing.

I also once visited a recreation of Paris with my sweetheart, Jamie. Here we are, a short distance from the Eiffel Tower. Oh, the designers thoughtfully included parachutes at the top of the tower, just in case some people felt like base-jumping to the ground rather than take the steps or elevator. I bet such activity is not condoned at the real Eiffel Tower!

Of course, being a virtual world, SL is not limited to providing trips to actual places, but also to fantastical realms or to places from ancient history. Talking of which, here I am with my Jamie again, this time riding a boat in a sim that brought Ancient Greece to life.
