RE: Tracking SMT Development Progress

in #smts6 years ago

What was it like to communicate all this a long time in advance? Why expect so many rumors to come out about a deadly fall and closure of steem? This lack of communication may have created a misconception that ultimately hurt the platform. I think the bull must have grabbed on by the horns and didn't let it get out!! We are going to continue with this communicational thread that helps and does not harm anyone. Greetings, friends!!

Whatever Steemit Inc does, there'll be always someone telling them that they're too late, too imprecise, too whatever... If it wasn't so time consuming, it could be even amusing.

Why expect so many rumors to come out about a deadly fall and closure of steem?

If they didn't have to read all these empty complaints and rumors, they'd be much faster in doing what they have to do.

Then they'd even have time to ride bulls... on their ranches in Texas.

Appreciate the support @surfermarly! We certainly haven't done everything perfectly and as open source advocates, we believe that negative feedback can often be more valuable than positive. I think most people can see that we've been growing a lot as a company over the past couple of years and we hope to keep demonstrating that as we move forward. Regardless of our mistakes, all of our projects are progressing and virtually no work has been wasted. If we have misjudged when to make certain announcements, it has had nothing to do with the projects themselves. While some people may wish we were working on other things, or believe we could some how "work faster" (lol), we are confident we are working on the "right" things and moving faster to deliver on those products than anyone else in the space. While we might not be perfect, we remain the only blockchain team that has delivered a protocol capable of powering real applications that tens of thousands of real people use every day. We're confident that everything we've done will help cement our lead in this area, and that everything we continue to do will help advance our lead even farther ahead of the competition.

Thanks for this, Andrew :-)
Fully agreed: if constructive, negative feedback is usually more valuable than simple backslapping.
It's still hard to believe you can't work faster, haha

Steem on!

haha yes, of all our failures, the stagnant development of our cloning technology is the most embarrassing ;)

😅😅😅👌
