Smart Media Token (SMT) - Update

Anyone has some an update regarding Smart Media Tokens? Appics already has an app running on Testnet I guess??

Is there a new release date other than first quarter? How is it doing on the Testnet? Any insights?

    @mexbit. Last I read was that Appics is doing an ICO and has indefinitely delayed the SMT. Also saw update on their website implying the same. Check out their timeline at bottom of https://appics.com/

    Thanks for the info... hmm... the ICO is at the end of march, which is the end of Q1. They mention fast transfers and so on.... how will they do it without SMT then? Do you have a link where they mention that?

    My read over the past few months is given the continued work on SMTs, they opted to process with an ICO to fund their dev and launch and not link it to the launch of SMTs. Unsure what they are thinking once SMTs arrive.

    I am very interested, as I think that day Steem will explode in price... I need to make sure to have some champaign ready!! :)

    @radard is correct re Appics. I have been following them. Their roll-out appears to have been pushed back slightly and they removed references to SMT altogether. Focusing on launch and ICO for now. With respect to SMT, I have not heard anything new.

    Thank you @armentor. Hoping someone has information on the launch of SMTs. SMTs will clearly encourage more communities to come on board, thus more users, thus increase demand/price of Steem.
