Yesterday was a very important milestone for us at BeScouted. We have made the first post from our platform that was recorded on Steem Blockchain and posted on Steemit.com making BeScouted The First Photography Community on the Blockchain.

These are very exciting times for all of us since Steemit is changing the paradigm how social media works and how users are rewarded for the quality content they produce. You are the people who are giving any kind of value to any kind of social media platform and without your effort there would be no social media whatsoever, but up until now it only made rich a handful of guys and the community was not getting any rewards for making those platforms grow and thrive.

This is not the case with the appearance of Steemit.com and Steem Blockchain anymore, things are changing and they are changing fast. Congratulations if you are reading this: you are among the first adopters, and the first adopters win the most.

The Mission

Global Photography Industry is estimated to be about 50 billion dollars. It is very hard to come up with precise numbers as it dominated by freelancers, part timers, and other ad hoc participants and they create ~90% of all digital visual content.

Our mission on BeScouted is to create a Global Photograpy Marketplace where freelancers and businesses are connected through our unique casting system and are getting paid directly avoiding numerous middle men that take up to 70% of freelancers earnings just for finding paid jobs for them. On BeScouted anyone can create a casting and find variety of freelancers for their projects in fast and reliable way and on the other hand freelancers can browse the castings and apply to ones they would like to participate at and get paid 100% of the budget.

Up to this point settling those transactions was complicated, slow and unreliable. Not to mention payment provider hold ups and associated costs that reduced payouts accordingly. But with the emerging Blockchain technology though and Steem Blockchain in particular all those transactions can be put into smart contracts inside castings and processed at the time project has been finished. Instantaneously and with 0% transaction cost.

First of all because i LOVE photography myself. If you have read this up to this point good chances are that you love photography too. I know so many talented people that sell their equipment because they can not afford to make a living. They get back to dull and boring jobs, the jobs that will be overtaken by AI and machines, but it will be quite a while until machines can overtake Creativity of human kind if ever at all. With this new paradigm of reward distribution people will be able to do what they love and lead a decent creative life style while leaving all boring and repetitive tasks to our silicon and metal assistants.

There are more than 50 million Flickr accounts. Portfolio hosting website that claims to give you exposure and takes your rewards. While Steemit.com is an amazing general blogging platform that runs on a Blockchain and is in many ways superior to Reddit, specific communities covering certain areas will inevitably emerge. Just because of much easier content discovery which currently is quite complicated on Steemit.com you might agree.
