Daily Green Smoothie: Minty Kale Goodness

Today's smoothie is a nutrient powerhouse. The addition of kale, ginger, and spinach makes this the perfect start of your day. Get tons of vitamins and antioxidants just by having breakfast!

The pineapple and banana takes all the 'green' flavor from the spinach and kale away, and the mint gives it a crispy and fresh aftertaste. I'm sure you'll love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 cup dragonfruit
  • 1/2 cup kale
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup mint
  • 1 inch knob of ginger
  • 3-5 cups of water (depending on how thick you want your smoothie)

Directions:

  1. Blend spinach, kale, ginger, and mint until smooth
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again

Recipe Notes:

Use one or more frozen fruits to chill the smoothie.
If the smoothie is too thick for you, add more liquid base.

Yeah... like kale is just the fruit I have laying around in my house for a smootie. I have never even seen that fruit in stores here in germany :D

Kale is a vegetable and can be found easily all across the world.
You might mean the dragonfruit, this can be easily substituted by any other fruit you want. Apples and pears come to mind for Germany.

Hehe! Also called pitaya by some. Think you might find it in Germany when it is in season. We used to find it in Belgium when we lived there.
