(first draft) Super Monkey Ball Deluxe replays [VHS] {2005}
Here's some replays that were crap even in 2005. I was 10 and felt so cool having edited my own video (because, at the time, I still didn't know about Windows Movie Maker or capture cards).
Tracks used (as the video mentions)
Aces High by Iron Maiden
Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
This game is from mid March of 2005 (released on PS2 and Xbox). Over the few months between release and my finishing of this "first draft", I recorded a bunch of replays on a good ol' full sized Super-VHS camcorder that may or may not have (at the time) belonged to a Blockbuster video (there's a long story behind that one). I quickly slapped this first draft together, but after realizing that the cuts were generally not clean, I went at it again and officially finished this project in the middle of September 2005. The final version did air on public access (though not through my doing--there's another long story), but given YouTube was starting to gain some steam and with the general attitude most people (even then) had towards public access, this didn't get viewed by much of the intended audience. The "final draft" tape has suffered some pretty severe "sticky shed syndrome". That's the thing where the tape gets sticky and starts to shed oxide inside of your VCR. It's gotten to the point that a lot of the video portion is pretty well unplayable (at best I get a black and white image), hence why I used the "first draft" on DTube.
