I will not be defeated.
So.... there is a long version and a short version of this story. I will be gracious enough and not overwhelm you with the long version. So here goes...
I am a almost thirty year old recovering heroin addict. I started running whist admitted in a long term Drug and rehabilitation facility in Noupoort , Northern Cape, South Africa. Weighing in at 52kg's for my 512'' Frame running was effortless and running long distances I found to be rather enjoyable.
Now 7 years later weighing in at 92kg's I am on a mission to bust the belly fat and regain my health and fitness( let me just ad that I am a certified yoga teacher)
I recently started running again , 3 months into my training program I found myself hindered by a stress fracture in my foot and a destroyed ego. How did this happen??? I had been accustomed to running further, harder and faster in the good old days, now I find myself to be a newbie to running having to start o f with what would have been embarrassing distances....
Now Ego in check , belly flattening (slowly.... ) and a new pair of running shoes waiting under the Christmas tree, I have 30 days to run my first marathon and 120 days to run my first Ultra marathon .
I am an a mission to destroy all expectations and misconceptions!
