THE STORY OF MY WIFE'S HYBRID TAYLOR GS MINI GUITAR.........

IMG_0981.jpg

This is my story........
In 2013 my wife wanted to learn to play guitar, at the time I had a Taylor 414CE and we both found out just how easy Taylors are to play. She was working as management in the large retail store... ( it will be left nameless ) They tended to work employees long hard hours, and when she got her bonus/ blood money as she put's it. She splurged and bought this Taylor GS Mini in 2013......... Well it was a....... Taylor GSMini.
So time went by and she never played it much, and I told her I really didn't want to play it either because the action was to high. The action is the height of the strings above the fretboard.

So one day she called Taylor and they informed her that it never should be like that even for a beginner guitar.
Long story short- we ended up shipping the guitar back to Taylor and they replaced the neck with a new one for free!
Back comes the guitar home, and we saw that the bolted in sound-hope pickup had come loose in return shipping and it took a chunk of wood out of the sound hole. : (

We really didn't want to call Taylor again, It wasn't that big of a chunk of wood. So we thought we would just call and tell them if they ever shipped any other GS Minis, to remove the pickup so this doesn't happen to others...
They had us send a picture of the nick, and they sent a prepaid return to send it back as they wanted it fixed.

Finally our GS Mini returned home .......Our 2013 GSMini complete with the 2013 serial number...same number....But all new neck and all new body with the 2016 cross bracing updates!

My hat is off to Taylor they back their guitars with this kind of guarantee....They have my business!!!

I hope this inspires you to play any musical instrument! @silvertop
