I don’t sit still. I never stay put. I was once compared to a pinwheel...too many points always spinning in the wind. I’m terrified of committing to any single thing in fear that I’ll get lost. Worried that I’ll miss out on truly finding myself. And yet this also does not define who I am...
There’s way too much going on in my head. It’s never quiet. And it’s not always pretty. Or helpful. But the unquiet is not me. It’s still just masking who I am...
I am overflowing with bravado. My defenses are big and strong and larger than life. They proceed me. They protect me. But from what? Is it possible that this actually keeps me from truly discovering who I am?
Maybe I’m more than enough just the way I am. I don’t have to be more or less. I don’t need definition. I require no explanation. Maybe - just maybe - I can relax and just BE.
