Very cool photo...Dubai needs a ton of power and being able to use the land under the power lines is important.
Growing crops will benefit the city and make good use of the land. Very good thinking here. Good to know some governments are thinking of the best interests for their people.

Yeah there are precious few governments that care about their people and making good choices with limited resources. We seem to be going backwards while some countries like Dubai, are looking to the future and making it happen. Not just talking the talk.

You said it Westley, we have so many things we could do here but the government actually gets on the way of progress.

But is it a good idea to grow underneath some food. I mean would the crops be damaged on some way ?
There are some known issues and some unknowns. That's why they won't permit people to live under these pylons. Just to be safe. Crops would be fine I assume? They would need do tests to be sure.
That is excellent thinking. I wish they would have done that here.
There is a smaller one across the street from my house. We never noticed it until we moved in.
The Dubai leadership have really thought about these issues and instead of just talking about change. They just get on with it.
The Government of Dubai really cares about its people. They have an excellent implementation of their plans and the people benefits from it.

Thank you @garokee Dubai is leading the way and is trying to change everything so that the country can stand tall in the world. It faces opposition but it is pressing ahead with all kinds of reforms.
Dubai is surely going higher in technology. Gone are the days when it was just a dessert area. Now, it can easily compete with advanced country. Thanks for the info.
Dubai is way out in front of most developed economies and they have many projects that will push them even further into the future.

It seems that they have identified an undervalued resource. (The land underneath these electricity pylons) Now it will become more valuable as crops are grown.
