Some new beers
For this week's #BeerSaturday I am going to show all new, to me, beers. We took a trip to Kalispell last weekend and I couldn't resist trying a couple new beers.
I had the Logan's Lass Scotch Ale from Bias Brewing in Kalispell, MT. My wife had the Blacksteer's Tookus Stout from Meadowlark Brewing in Sydney, MT. The Stout is on the left in the picture. The scotch ale was sweeter than the stout but I found both of them quite enjoyable.
After ordering we noticed the add for the stout above our table.
Last night we had some left over pizza. And, of course, beer goes well with pizza. I dug through the beer fridge and found a Fresh as Helles from Samuel Adams. It is a lager with orange blossom. The orange wasn't overpowering, just enough flavor to be noticed, and I quite liked the beer.
I forgot to get a picture of the pizza before I started eating as I was pretty hungry, but here is some of it. It had a corn salsa on it which was quite good.
You are speaking my language. Scotch ales are one of my flavorings styles. If you are ever in Michigan I recommend checking out Founders Dirty Bastard. It’s one of the top scotch ales in the country.

Dirty Bastard is a favorite! Our local bottle shop gets a few Founders beers every now and then. :)
