Normal and special
For this week's #BeerSaturday I present two beer and food pairings. One is fairly normal, the other one contains some stuff only gotten once a year.
Had to make my weekly trip to Lolo Peak Brewery. I had the Alpenglow Wheat Ale. This one had a low ABV so it refreshes without being too strong.
To go with it I had a sloppy Joe and some clam chowder. Both were quite good and hit the spot very well.
The second pairing comes from the Western Montana Fair that is in town this week. I had a Summer Honey from the local Big Sky Brewing Company. I like this one enough that I based my own honey pale ale on it a couple years ago.
To go with it I had some items I only have at the fair once a year. They are all offerings from the Sons of Norway. Vikings (breaded sausage on a stick), lefsa, and rosettes.
