Many beers and a story
This weeks #BeerSaturday starts off with a porter from Lolo Peak Brewing. It is a tasty porter that isn't too overpowering.
The second offering comes with a story. My Jeep failed to start earlier in the day and I had to leave it in town. I tried to salvage the day by cutting the grass only to discover that the battery in the mower was dead and needed to be replaced. So, no cutting the grass. Fine, maybe I should just have a beer and stop before anything else breaks. So I grabbed a large bottle of Selkirk Abbey Imperial Saison Ale.
When I opened the bottle it began to foam everywhere across my living room. Once I managed to get some glasses under it here is what I ended up with.
The next day a friend had a birthday party at Lolo Peak Brewing and I had an EPA (English Pale Ale). I hadn't had one before and I rather enjoyed it. So much, apparently, that I forgot to take a picture until it was almost gone.
Last night we had friends over to play a game and I had a couple beers that were completely different from each other. One was a Hanalei Island IPA from Kona Brewing Company. It wasn't bitter, and actually tasted a lot like fruit juice. The other one was a hard root beer from Coney Island Brewing Company. I hadn't tried one before and I found it very tasty. And quite dangerous as it felt like just drinking root beer, except it snuck up on me.
To finish things off, today we went to another local brewery, Bayern Brewing, and had a Maibock and Weisen. Glad we had food with them as they were both pretty strong.
