Local beers
This week's #BeerSaturday post includes only beers from a single local brewery. I may have mentioned in the past that we go to Lolo Peak Brewing Company a fair amount. Well, all the beers this week are from there.
The first one I have had before. It is a Huckleberry Saison. It have some tartness from the huckleberries but I find it quite tasty.
They have started doing small batch beers where they try some various things. The next beer is one of those. It is a Raspberry Golden Ale. And, if you look closely at the bottom of the glass, you can see a raspberry floating in it. I had several raspberry parts floating in my glass.
Lost of raspberry taste, although it was on the verge of being too tart. The berries were certainly potent.
Lolo Peak just had their 4 year anniversary party, and they had a small batch beer for the occasion. It was a Cucumber Basil Lime Golden Ale. I had to try a sample. Not as bad as I thought it would be but I don't think I would have enjoyed a full glass of it.
Since the small batch didn't work for me I went with a GSD Light Lager. It is a simple pilsner that worked well with the fish & chips I had, that I forgot to get a picture of before it was gone).
