There was a saying "If you were a true myanmar, you must had visited to Bagan".
I had been visited to Bagan for many times and was never bored.

Bagan,is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar, home to the largest and densest concentration of Buddhist temples, pagodas, stupas and ruins in the world with many dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. The shape and construction of each building is highly significant in Buddhism with each component part taking on spiritual meaning.

Old people said that "if you go to the center of Bagan and point with your finger at any direction,you will end up pointing a Pagoda".
During the kingdom's height between the 11th and 13th centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of over 2,200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day.

UNESCO has placed the Bagan archaeological zone on its tentative list for consideration as a future World Heritage Site.

You can take a hot air balloon ride at sunrise through 2 companies in Bagan one is called Balloons Over Bagan, around US$ 320 per person and the other is called Bagan Ballooning, US$ 350 per person with less people in the basket. The 2 companies operate from October till April.

Bagan nightlife promises to be distinctive and enjoyable, even though there is no disco in the town. It’s not subdued at all. Rather, Bagan is spotlighted with various riverside restaurants, bars, and especially, the Burmese puppet shows and music.
