ASUS ZenFone Zoom S

ASUS has expanded its range of camera-centric smartphones with the launch of the ZenFone Zoom S in the country. It is a mid-range offering that brings dual cameras and a full metal body construction. The brand is touting the device as the world’s slimmest and lightest 5.5-inch 5,000mAh battery smartphone with a 7.9mm thin waistline and 170g weight.

Talking about the camera department first, the ZenFone Zoom S gets a 12MP SuperPixel shooter with Sony IMX362 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, OIS, 4K recording with EIS and RAW shooting support. The SuperPixel snapper is aided by another 12MP shooter that offers 2.3x true optical zoom and f/2.6 aperture. For selfies, the phone gets a 13MP PixelMaster 3.0 camera with Sony IMX214 sensor, five-element Largan lens and f/2.0 aperture.
As far as the other specs go, the ZenFone Zoom S gets a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The phone utilises a 2.0GHz 14nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, mated to an Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 64GB, while the connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE (via FOTA update), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS. The other specs include a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging and reverse charging support, a 5-magnet speaker with NXP Smart Amp, DTS Headphone:X virtual 7.1 surround sound support via compatible headphones and HiRes Audio support.
The ASUS ZenFone Zoom S has been priced at Rs 26,999 and will be available in Navy Black and Glacier Silver hues. The device is being offered exclusively on Flipkart.
