The bad habits of Italians when they choose a smartphone

in #smartphone6 years ago

This article is taken from what I wrote on my company blog but with some changes.

One thing is sure, Italians are at the forefront of buying a new smartphone within a few months from the one previously purchased.

A type of habit, however, on which I disagree as it is a symptom of strong consumerism mixed with so much misinformation and money squandered.

This article does not want to be a commercial proposal of any kind or to make controversy, it is to illustrate some problems.

Among these are the psychological factors that push the user to buy at all costs also conditioned by a misleading advertising.

However, the consumer is still an accomplice in this.

When the user often changes smartphones

If you are one of those who often change smartphones for sure you do it for your good reasons but for others it is not so.

Often it is a bad habit dedicated to pure consumerism, or you are "tickled" by advertising the shopping centers about offers of various kinds.

Unfortunately, they also come to make continuous debts to ensure the best model, at least this is their illusion.

The confirmation comes when I am often contacted by several people who are already determined a priori to make the purchase of one of the models available on the market and formulate the following questions:

Listen, I'm going to buy this model of smaprthone Samsung/Huawei. You say it's good?

My answer does not wait...

If you've already determined to buy it, why do you ask me if it's "good"?

Or have already made the purchase ...

Look, I bought this model, do you say it's good?

Ruthless I answer:

If you've already bought it because you ask me?

My answers may seem cynical or unrespectful, but it is these people who do not bring respect by wasting time on others who might have better things to do.

So you understand that these are basically insecure people and yet have already decided to rely on the best known and emblazoned brands hoping to have made a good purchase.

Yet they come to spend many hundreds of euros with the belief that they are holding a respectable smartphone.

However, the most they can take advantage of the real potential of the device they purchased is just phone, take some pictures and use social applications.

So they do not even care about the actual performance and do not even compare with other models that could be better and cheaper.

Yet we know that mobile devices with an Android operating system still have the ability to do other things, but the phrase of these "spenders" is often as follows:

For what I have to do it's fine.

This phrase is also mentioned by those who intend to invest little or nothing.

The problem is that they are convinced of this but they are largely uninformed and unfortunately unable to exploit their expensive purchase, although often these individuals are also the same ones who cry misery during the year and that they say they have little money available.

Learn about the least expensive and even the most performing alternatives

Usually I have always opted for alternatives myself, so look for the best products at the best price.

But the thing that can seem incredible is that often you can find models under 200 euros.

One of these is the Cubot X18 Plus (shown in the picture above) that I have recommended to several of my contacts and who have already operated for the purchase.

It is a smartphone with respectable characteristics. Then I will go on to illustrate the technical characteristics.

When the user is lazy

From this it is easy to understand that it is possible to opt for similar models but without investing large sums.

Information of this kind are still accessible simply with a search on Google, however the majority of users is not even willing to search.

They think it's a type of operation that's too complicated for them, but it's just mental laziness.

This also occurs regularly for the installation of a simple application from the Play Store and mention phrases like this:

I use my smartphone but I do not know how to install an application.
I do not mean it, I'll do it to my son (or to his friend, to his friend's friend, to his cousin, etc.).
Then I will ... (and refer to the bitter end).

Or when it comes to smartphone models like the one mentioned above, they say they do not trust to buy online at Amazon (or Gearbest) and then go to the mall where clearly these models can not be found.

So laziness is also mixed with useless and sterile distrust.

Yet it would be enough to make targeted purchases and without having to invest large sums, however, it is now clear that the average Italian is maneuvered.

The article does not intend to offend anyone but seriously invites us to reflect and then to abandon unhealthy habits.
