Google Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a Price and Release Date

Reportedly, Google is set to unveil two new smartphones, including its first-ever foldable screen phone, during the upcoming Google I/O conference on May 10. The two phones are the Google Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a, which will be announced simultaneously but will not be released at the same time.

The Pixel 7a is expected to be available shortly after being announced, and will be offered for USD 499 (Rp. 7.5 million). It will be available in four colors, namely Charcoal, Snow, Sea, and Coral, with the latter option only being available for purchase at the Google Store. The price of the Pixel 7a is USD 50 (Rp. 750,000) higher compared to the Pixel 6a, which is still available in the market despite the launch of the latest generation Pixel phone.

The Pixel 7a is rumored to come with a 64MP camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera, along with the support of the Tensor G2 chipset, a screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, and wireless charging capabilities. Meanwhile, the Pixel Fold is expected to be marketed for USD 1,799 (Rp. 27 million) and pre-orders will start on May 10 at the Google Store, with wider availability on June 27.

Although there is speculation that the price of the Pixel 6a may decrease after the launch of the new model, it remains to be confirmed. In addition to the new smartphones, Google is reportedly working on a new search engine powered by a completely new artificial intelligence (AI) technology that aims to provide a more personalized user experience.
