We are going to see native tokens across thousands of mainstream websites where content is curated by the crowd. This will bring a HUGE demand for Steem. #SmartMediaTokens

Following on from last weeks stellar news released by Ned in connection with the proposal to leverage the #Steem Blockchain by the use of #SmartMediaTokens #SMT, some of you may have already seen this article published in the Observer.

For the ones who have missed it here is the link.

Credit to the Observer for the content in the article.

What is really exciting about this article in the Observer is that they explain the concept to their readers by suggesting an "Observer Coin".

It is this type of endorsement by other large scale publications that will catapult the promotion, adoption and usage of #SmartMediaTokens #SMT on a grand scale.

This large scale adoption of #SmartMediaTokens #SMT will bring with it a huge demand for #STEEM in the market, as explained yesterday in my Blog.

Once again a huge thank you to the Observer for being one of the first large scale publications to already see the potential in #SmartMediaTokens #SMT not only for their own platform and business model, but their readers benefit as well.

Thanks for reading.

We see regular flare-ups on Steemit, the rewards aren't fair, the whales get to decide who gets the biggest rewards, the whales are raping the rewards pool, etc, etc

So will use of SMTs that are based on STEEM produce similar complaints and concerns on sites that choose to use SMTs?

If not, why not?

"..the rewards aren't fair." Sadly, I have to disagree. It depends who has the power and reputation. Stephen

Being able to personalise the currency while having STEEM as the mechanism is for sure a huge vibe if it's adopted by the right websites, it's definitely the key to the sell. I'm interested, as are many people I'm sure, to see how this is picked up by the media as it could well explode!

"...to see how this is picked up by the media as it could well explode!" Publications read each other stuff and I wouldnt be surprised that other publications start talking about this and writing their own articles. Stephen

Yoohoo! The text about giving more 'power' to the 'genuine' up-vote made my day! This energizes my support for the Smart Token.

Thanks for this post!

Peace.

lets hope so mate,
for example the Daily Mail (huge traffic) could boost its comment section with SMT.
The Daily Mail is in the UK so maybe if you got some spare time to go talk to them would help ;P
Today I'm a bit annoyed about the Viewly announcement...they decided they won't use Steem :/

I was reading an article the other day that online publications that have a comments section are rarely used. Introduce #SmartMediaTokens to your website before your competitors catch on, and bingo, you will increase your traffic x100's fold overnight. Stephen

It is great that publications like Observer in the USA are picking up on SMTs. Hopefully it will help push steem on a sustained upward path.

I wonder whether any of the mainstream press like The Observer in the UK will get onboard with the story soon as well.

I guess when it hits the front page of the Financial Times then we will really be rocking.

Give it time. Soon they will all be jumping on this. #SmartMediaTokens WILL revolutionise online publications. This is an untapped market worth x100's $billions..!! Stephen

I hope so - I've started betting my piggy bank on it 😊

Observer Coin? it sounds very good.
but whether the observer has been ratified?
thank you

this will be great and beneficial to all steemians. hopefully this will push through as planned. thanks for the info.
