The global trade and logistics are interconnected industries. When the global trade develops, the logistics absolutely develop too. And today, because of the fact that technological developments have a big velocity, we cannot follow them. But the reality is that if you don’t adapt your work to technological progress, you will have to fall behind in the market. And this is also true for logistics. So, the use of artificial intelligence and smart contracts in this industry has become necessary for companies to perform quick and profitably. Because; sensitive goods can be carried along with the improvements that are now being experienced. So the companies which carry them have to be extremely professional and safe. It is a fact that there is a need for transportation companies which can take these sensitivities into consideration in the field of logistics and can adapt their work to the latest technological developments. That's exactly where the Smart Containers Project, built on the blockchain, is a challenging candidate for this need.

The Smart Containers Project’s Goals

The Smart Containers Project is a project carried out by the company of Smart Containers Group, which is based in Switzerland. The company has two main objectives with the project. First, the company aims to achieve global standards for pharma and food transport and grow steadily. SMARC token has been created as a security token for this process.

Secondly, it wants to implement a revolution with the blockchain ecosystem developed in the sector of logistics. This ecosystem will be referred to as LOGI CHAIN. LOGI token has been created as a service token in this ecosystem.

LOGI CHAIN Ecosystem

The project seeks to realize a revolution in logistics with the Logi Chain. The main purpose of Logi Chain is to get rid of bureaucratic procedures and to enable invoicing process through smart contracts to be done automatically. On the other hand, payments can be made with cryptocurrency. This ecosystem will be in the process stated below.

A physical transport element such as a container or packet will appear as a virtual chip on the blockchain. These virtual chips will be sold within a reasonable fee on the project platform. All necessary documentation and information regarding the transport operation may be related to this chip. It will also be made available to the interested third parties. While some documents can be viewed by anyone in the Ethereum network, more sensitive documents will be placed on the Fabric or Corda based blockchain network which requires special permission. Thus, the physical paper process will be eliminated completely. And there won’t be any delays in the processes due to such reasons. All transactions on the Logi Chain will be made by paying with Logi token.

Why Smart Containers?

Smart Containers is a company that has already been established and has been operating for a long time in the logistics industry. So, unlike other ICO projects, the only concrete reference is not a whitepaper. The company has a certain business community in Switzerland. It has two other strategic partners, Emirates, and Cargolux. In addition, the company has nearly 100 patent articles within logistics. Roche, Novartis, Kedrion, and Alagon are already customers of the company.

The company has been carrying out researches in cooperation with the German Fraunhofer Institute and the Swiss EMPA in order to make technical inventions for eight years. Token Information and ICO Process:

The Smart Containers Project has created two types of tokens: SMARC and LOGI

SMARC token: Total token supply will be 150 million. 120 million tokens have been allocated for sales in the ICO process. The hard cap is $ 36 million. Non-discounted price of the token is $ 0.432.

LOGI token: It is a service token within the LOGI CHAIN ecosystem. Fees will be paid with the LOGI Token, especially for transactions made through smart contracts. Total token supply will be 100 million Logi. 20 million tokens have been allocated for sales in the ICO process. The hard cap is $ 4 million. Non-discounted price of the token is $ 0.285.

Project team:

The team members who live in Switzerland are experienced and successful entrepreneurs. The project has two founders, Richard Ettl and Nico Ros. Richard Ettl is the CEO of the project. Ettl is also the founder of SkyCell, which was founded in 2012. They both operate as managers within the Smart Containers Group.

Conclusion:

I think it is very significant that the Smart Containers project is conducted under the leadership of a company which has been operating for a long time. In addition, the presence of two different tokens of the project has been quite accurate for the ICO process to be successful.
