In the previous article in this series, I explained some of the issues faced in the logistics industry. Now I will explain the Smart Container solutions that address the problems of the logistics industry.

Smart Containers creates a seamless integrated logistics ecosystem that is open to all industry participants and is based on Blockchain technology. This ecosystem will be called LOGI CHAIN. The purpose is to get rid of paper and information disconnected as email. The second step would be to automatically pay the containers through smart contracts and crypto currencies.

With the peer to peer nature of the Smart Container ecosystem based on the blockchain, there is a level of transparency that is previously nonexistent. Some documents are open to the public and can be seen by everyone on a public Blockchain like Ethereum. Other, more sensitive and private documents will require a permissive Blockchain infrastructure such as Fabric or Corda. The different parties in the shipping process will access the documents through an open source reader.
This means that you can store origin, storage location, authenticity, property certification and records: all the necessary information on a ledger. All information in an accessible place will not only create a more transparent supply chain but will also be helpful in reducing the amount of theft. In both situations, eventually transfer savings to the end consumer.

Payment in Cryptocurrencies to increase payment security and reduce fees

With the Smart Container's solution, container sensors "know" when the shipment reaches its destination and when its content is unloaded. The vision of Smart Containers is to integrate smart contracts in the process and automate all billing and payments in this way. Payment will be made as soon as the container is unloaded through the payment cryptocurrency, reducing its charge and transmission time to a minimum.
