A New Vision emerged through Business to Business relations that balanced out capitalism with democratic community development, utilizing smaller SmartHives funded by businesses through SmartCash based non-profits. This allowed families of businesses to remain independent but still have the charitable power of a Foundation, which were once widely manipulated by negatives in the days of old.
The future cannot be avoided, only altered
I tell you this because there was a fork in the timelines on Earth. There were a couple million "old geezers" as you call your elderly, that denied the movement of decentralized currency. They were all too afraid to lose control, to lose power... but little did they know they would have had unimaginable power if they would have absolved their control into the flow of your Earth's needs of equality.
