This currency is basically still an infant and has a way to go before reaching full maturity, and it is being nourished by a great team of programmers, new adherents and innovators. It must be restated, as I have in a previous post, there were all sorts of wallet dramas, and people were stressed out, but the SmartCash team kept their cool and walked people through the issues and eventually everyone got sorted out. This kind of fanatical tech support is what ensures great things are coming in the future, if things remain steady in these regards of the helpfulness of the core team.

SmartCash taught me many things, the first lesson I learned in this cryptocurrency world is never obsess about the price on any given day or what it was in the past or might be in the future, it's the long haul that matters. It doesn't matter if the price is up or down, because it will always be up or down, it's the team behind it and their commitment which matters most and will ultimately determine if the currency is destined to fall into the abyss or reach for the stars. I'm learning a great deal of discipline holding on to my cryptocurrency, even when there is temptation to sell at a profit. Never wrack your brain over the fact that you didn't get in early to enjoy those super low prices, just get in and stay in and stay in for the long journey.

SmartCash: A Different Kind of Hot New Cryptocurrency

On July 11, 2017, #SmartCash, a different kind of cryptocurrency was launched into the crypto-ocean after a digital bottle was allegorically christened. While it has some things in common with other cryptocurrencies, it does have many differences that make it unique and the hot choice for many of the cryptofund gurus as well as many newbies to the world of cryptocurrency. SmartCash was my beginning into cryptocurrency, just read my first #steem article! This is a totally new direction for me in my life getting involved with cryptocurrency, the die is cast, I have crossed the rubicon and it was one of the greatest decisions in my life. I can't believe how much fun I'm having learning about all this new software-technology and I haven't even scratched the surface yet.

Yes, my own one month anniversary in the cryptomatrix is coming November 6th, 2017, when I acquired my first 5,000 SmartCash, almost exactly one month ago on October 6th, 2017, thank you @decentralized for helping me make my first purchase. Thank you for taking the time to help me get started. It takes a special certain kind of person to be a patient teacher with all the newbies that inundate you with the same questions over and over again.

SmartCash Learning Curve

I can't believe how much I have learned in such a short time and at the same time, I can't believe how little I know (yes I can). I just started trading currencies on cryptopia, this is so much fun! I set aside a very small portion of my budget to experiment with trading to see how it goes. I finally figured out how to get .05 bitcoins on cryptopia and have begun to play the markets, wow is it addictive. The alt coins have taken a major hit recently too, but it is to be expected as everyone is buying bitcoin for its big mid november split. I got into the day trading aspect just so I could learn how it works, but despite being fun and addicting, its not my forte, I prefer just buying and holding, so I'm going to stick with that approach.

You can now trade SmartCash on a plethora of places, it seems like every week or so, I hear about a new place you can do transactions with SmartCash, this means good things are on the horizon.

My advice is to sign up for all these exchange sites if you're not a member, it helps you to learn how to navigate them. What I'm finding is some of these places are not intuitive, so part of the learning curve is forcing yourself to play with them and learn how they work. I find in life that rarely do a lot of places invest money in UI, user interface and navigation, which is why adoption of these technologies is slow. I wish more places would adopt a plug and play approach to their interfaces.

Current Circulation and Max Circulation

When I write about SmartCash I'm going to be exploring the issue of max circulation, and thinking of ways to overcome objections. This seems to be the biggest wall I get from people who look into investing in it and I want to learn more about ways to overcome those objections. It has already been said before, but there is a cap on SmartCash of 5 billion over 100 years and roughly 800 million are already in circulations. There’s plenty of room for people to get in now on this hot new cryptocurrency early while the price is still very low. Already, value jumps of several hundred % in a single day have already occurred and I've seen highs in the 16 to 18 cents range, which is amazing, since I got in at 3 to 4 cents. I think we are truly lucky the price is hovering between 5 and 10 cents right now, which means there is still time to load up good amounts. What I would like to let people know who have objections about the max circulation is that a significant portion of that money is going towards projects like promotion, and hard real word projects like making it easier to convert fiat currency into SmartCash. The team is kicking butt getting SmartCash on exchanges, and projects in poor countries are growing which is where impact will be strongest. It's 2nd and 3rd world, developing countries where inflation is highest, and where they would benefit from cryptocurrency. This means the overhang isn't being used to enrich the insiders, but help the global community.

As more SmartCash is mined (requiring time-investment) and purchased more broadly, the value of each coin will rise and it is expected by the end of 2018 for each coin to be valued at $1 US. I already saw the total market cap for SmartCash reach $100 million for a short time. I know someday its market capitalization will be over $1 billion. It's going to take time to reach that major milestone, but it's going to happen. It's not that difficult either, the price only needs to be 10 to 20x higher for it to safely pass the billion dollar mark. If the number of people buying and holding SmartCash grows 20 fold it could easily reach those mount everest heights.

You can buy SmartCash with greenbacks!

SmartCash can be purchased with Fiat funds, i.e. the US Dollar, the Euro and other paper currencies that are not backed by gold, but first you have to buy bitcoin or you can do an OTC trade with someone you trust. I was able to buy SmartCash through some risky transactions, I sent some people paypal payments and then they sold me SmartCash. This type of OTC (over the counter) is dangerous and an easy way to get ripped off, so a safer way is to buy currency through a website like coinbase.com but for many people outside the USA, it's extremely dificult.

The US Dollar is considered Fiat cash and here is why, it's not backed by anything other than faith. Only currencies fully backed, dollar by dollar, with an equal amount of gold, silver or basket of precious items, to cover the current value of that currency, are not Fiat currency. Many people believe that US money is still fully gold backed, but that is not true and has not been for many years now. Many cryptocurrency websites will trade cash for SmartCash at the exchange rate posted that day, but there is usually a premium to pay in a number of cases.

Both the value of the Fiat funds and the value of cryptofunds go up and down, but SmartCash is trending upward in value in the long haul, even if it makes some big dips, I personaly think this one is a long term upward trend - this one is a keeper. That makes it a good idea to get into SmartCash before everyone jumps on board and drives the trading value higher. Now is the time to buy! Buy Buy Buy!

Fungible

I never heard the financial word fungible, until I got into SmartCash. SmartCash is fully fungible. Strange word, fungible. But that is because it is one of those financial/legal words we don’t commonly use day to day. Google’s online dictionary defines it as “able to replace or be replaced by another identical item; mutually interchangeable.” Still a little hard to understand but once you read their example use in a sentence, it all becomes quite clear: "money is fungible—money that is raised for one purpose can easily be used for another". What it means is that you can spend it, sell it, hold on to it, give it to someone as a gift, spend it at merchants that accept SmartCash or pay someone for performing work for you as a form of payment; you can use it as you wish to exchange for something else of value to you. It’s not just a cyber idea sitting out there in the cloud somewhere. It is held in your online cyberwallet or local Smart-wallet until you decide to use it in whatever way you choose. It works just like money but it’s digital money. The good thing about SmartCash ($Smart) is the max currency is finite (not infinite), whereas the greenback can be printed forever and ever until it is worthless.

The Federal Reserve is evil, it lends the money at interest, tax dollars pay that interest. The dollar has lost 99% of its value since 1913 because it's no longer backed by gold and silver, which is categorically unconstitutional. Think about this, if you work for money, and it is being eroded, that means your time is being stolen, you can't get that time back, it's gone forever. So the Federal Reserve is stealing hundreds of millions of peoples' time that they absolutely can never get back, it is the ugliest theft of them all.

SmartCash Community Excellence

A huge difference between SmartCash and other digital currencies is that SmartCash is community driven. Decisions are not made by some person you never met sitting in an office somewhere, which is how other cybercurrencies are governed. Decisions are made by the community of SmartCash by users that meet the criteria of holding the currency. One SmartCash share equals one vote, so buying SmartCash allows you to vote, and the more you purchase the more voting power you have and since the currency has some 800 million in circulation this tends to put more potential power into the hands of the masses, rather than the few, at least in theory the more people who purchase SmartCash the more representative of the people are the votes.

SmartCash Cryptocurrency offers more privacy than paper money with a coin cleaning service

Privacy is a serious issue when using any of the cryptocurrencies available and the coins in other cryptofund wallets can have their transaction history tracked but SmartCash solved this problem. SmartCash takes the need for privacy seriously and feels everyone has a right to keep the history of their transactions fully private. They developed the world’s best privacy protocol known as Zero Coin. By choosing to “burn” and renew your cryptocoins using the Renew and Replace feature, the history of the past transactions involving the cryptofunds is completely cleared and brand new coins with no transaction history replace the burned funds. This is hands down my favorite feature of SmartCash and in a world of decentralization more and more coins must incorporate this awesome feature. In a world where the government is always spying on everything you do, every keystroke you make and watching you from cameras and satellites, it's nice to know there is a coin washing service.

The idea of mining cryptocurrency scares the living bejeebers out of people and I don't blame them. Who wants to setup an electricity guzzling rig in their home and send the utility bills to the moon and back? Not to mention mining is frustrating and complicated, it requires some technical know-how, but it can also be very rewarding and in truth once you get setup, it's not as bad as it might seem.

We will need to talk about mining often, because it's one of the best ways to acuire coins. Like other cryptocurrencies, SmartCash can be mined. While mining, the computer can still be used for other activities. Mining can be run 24/7 so you can find blocks of coins and unblock coins while you sleep or work. The more GPU and processing power you have available, the faster the mining process will work, finding more and more SmartCash for you is a great long-term approach to increase your holdings. You're going to keep on hearing about SmartRewards until I pound it into your brain, GET ON THE TRAIN! You might not know this but here’s another big difference between SmartCash and other digital currencies. Other cryptocurrencies reward only the miners but SmartCash has a program called Smart Rewards where the whole community is rewarded, not just the miner. Being a community-centric program, SmartCash monthly sets aside 80% of the block rewards to allocate to funding programs voted on by the community and to reward Hive Teams. 5% of the remaining funds are allocated to the miners and 15% are spread through the community as Smart Rewards.
