Since the address holding smartcash that you want to use to earn smartrewards should not have any outgoing transactions that is you should not have any outgoing transactions thus it is a good idea to keep a separate address to and not use the smartcash you put in there.
Suppose you address has 1000 smartcash that are 30 days old then you should be getting a smartreward when the snapshot is taken the subsequent month.

Enter your smartcash holding that is more then 1000 and it would tell you how much smartrewards you can expect to get.

However the calculator does not link to your wallet to check the actual holding. It is for estimate purpose only and it also does not check that your holding is more then 30 days old or not.
