SmartCash Desktop wallet: How to speed up the syncing process

Hello fellow Steemit community,

this guide is here to help anyone who is strugling to get the SmartCash wallet synced, because of their slow internet connection.
So as most of you know if you want to use a desktop wallet, you have to sync up the entire block history of the blockchain first. But their is a shortcut which i will show you now.

Step 1: Download Bootstrap file

Download the Bootstrap file using this link: https://smartcash.cc/txindexstrap.zip

Step 2: Save your wallet

To be on the save side, make a backup of your wallet. Using File -> Save wallet AND close the wallet again!

Step 3: Add a line to smartcash.conf

Go to your SmartCash folder,
in Windows it is located in C:\user\UserName\Appdata\Local\Roaming\Smartcash and
in OSX, go to this folder: ~/Library/Application Support/SmartCash.
Now open your "smartcash.conf" file and add the following line "set txindex=1", (without the "") and save the file.

Step 4: Clear your SmartCash folder

In your SmartCash folder delete everything except your wallet.dat, smartcash.conf and smartnode.conf if you have a smartnode.

Step 5:Add your downloaded bootstrap files

Add the files of your downloaded bootstrap file to the SmartCash folder. The two folders to add are the "Blocks" and the "Chainstate" folder.

Step 6:Start you SmartCash desktop wallet

Now just start your wallet and wait for it to sync. In my case it synced me up to only 2 weeks behind the current block.

Bonus: possible troubleshooting

Make sure your wallet file is named wallet.dat, otherwise the SmartCash desktop wallet won't find it.
