Ever wanted to own your own masternode? Found it to complicated to setup or not really sure where to start off?

Then perhaps a SMARTNODE might be right for you

Just yesterday I setup my first ever masternode which is called the smartnode for smartcash.

Its one of the lower expense masternodes to own and total cost will be just under $1,000 total when all is said and done. The time to setup will be roughly a few hours to a day.

So what do you need to do? I kept this as nice and simple as possible so others can get started to if they wish.

1 10,000 Smartcash

Your going to need 10,000 smartcash to send to your wallet. Exactly 10,000 smartcash so head over to one of these exchanges and pick yourself up some.

CryptoBridge
Coin Exchange

These three hold most of the volume which amounts to almost half a million each day.

2 Download Your Wallet

Download the node client/ wallet here - https://smartcash.cc/wallets/ you can download the extra sync file here https://smartcash.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/35000027174-using-the-bootstrap-to-speedup-sync-process otherwise syncing will take about 2 days is what it took me its a pretty big chain already.

3 Transfer 10,000 Smartcash

Now transfer 10,000 Smartcash exactly to your wallet address

4 Register a VPS

I ended up going with Vultr <- Is my affiliate link if you wish to use it. There are many VPS out there but most seem to use this service.

You will only need the $5 a month package that includes 1 GB of ram

5 Follow these step by step instructions that Hannah created.

There is one part that is outdated and that is a command line to download if you run into issues with it the one that worked for me was -

6 Run checks on server

Your best friend command line will be - smartcash-cli smartnode status

However is you have discord you can join the smartcash channel and have a bot there auto sync to your server to give you status updates here - https://discord.gg/6MrZ6M

While I know this does not go into great detail here on this post it is the exact steps I took to get my smartnode up and running. Just follow them along with Hannahs video and you should be good to go. Also the community is very helpful on discord.
