@lukestokes I've looked through posts about @smartbot and haven't figured this out yet: what exactly is the deposit address the bot gives you? If you're tipped on Steemit is a wallet setup for you? Is it a wallet managed by the smartbot that you interact with only through Steemit? I just got curious about this when I was about to transfer the tip you gave me to my Smartcash wallet.
A "wallet" is really just a way to manage public and private key addresses and handle the signing/broadcasting to the network. So yeah, it does seem like new addresses are created for everyone who uses the bot.
