Pigs have allies too
Well, the N.S.P.C.A. arrived two hours ago to assess the pigs plight/condition and also fully agreed that they are living in totally unacceptable conditions and are on their way to serve the owner of the pigs with the necessary ultimatum which, will in effect, persuade the owner to; rectify the living conditions within 48 hours or else the pigs will be confiscated. This is a small victory for right and to all who are in any similar kind of situation and are not too keen to get involved for possible fear of reprisals etc., I say, do not fear, do what is right, let the consequences follow. These pigs have been living under the most inhumane conditions imaginable for over five months and, were it not for my pitiful efforts in carting two buckets of water three times twice daily, they would have had not one drop of water. A load of old and bad lettuce leaves was delivered three times over the five months but does not even almost meet their nutritional requirements. As I said, I have been carrying six buckets of water 100mtrs twice a day-the owner did initially say that he would come and install a water supply and that he would provide the food-but this never materialized and so it is with some small feeling of satisfaction to see that some systems do still work. Thanks to the N.S.P.C.A. and the inspector who immediately recognized the need and, also to pigs & paws for their efforts as well. We were placed here to care for all creatures and, if we don't or can't, well, sorrowful will be OUR plight when we stand in the dock one day!
