"Ponyo on the Cliff"
Hello everyone, have a huge greeting. After a week without sharing with you absolutely nothing, because my PC is a bit damaged and then, without it I can not post anything. Today I would like to continue with what would be my week of Studio Ghibli, this time with a drawing of one of the simplest films of Hayao Miyazaki, but with such an innocent message and pure love. I mean "Ponyo on the Cliff."
Ponyo on the cliff, tells the story of friendship and pure love, between a small red fish with magical powers and a child who lives in the lighthouse of the Cliff town. When the child, Sosuke rescues Ponyo (magical fish) from the sea, the singular fish decides to become human to be with him.
This movie has autobiographical elements (the portrait of the male character, which Miyazaki thought about his own son, the absence of the sailor father, as Miyazaki confessed what he did with his son), "Ponyo on the cliff" also tells us about value of parents in every child, putting the figure of the mother as the most important. Care for the child's mother, who is the only one who cares for and advises her because of that paternal lack; and also to the mother of Ponyo that appears just when a determination must be made before everything that is happening. There is a conversation between both characters that the viewer never gets to hear, but who understands its meaning perfectly. Mothers, as different and close as in this film, better understand their offspring, and they are responsible for being direct witnesses of their growth. A whole declaration of principles on the part of Miyazaki.
A fantasy of an innocent love reflected in two opposite but complementary children, who give themselves to each other without any blush or prejudice, amazed and amazed by what each one sees in the other. I invite you to see this work of art of traditional Japanese animation, where parents and children can enjoy the great adventure of friendship between Ponyo and Sosuke.
